LPBC Summer Masters Slam Pickleball Championship Starts July 11

LPBC Summer Masters Slam Pickleball Championship: The debut LPBC Summer Masters Slam Championship at Life Time Loudoun, a premier indoor pickleball tournament presenting competitive divisions for players aged 50 and above. Held from July 11 to July 14, 2024, this event offers a variety of categories including Men’s and Women’s Singles and Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Open Divisions with amazing prizes for top performers.

Tournament Schedule

  • July 11 (Thursday): Men’s & Women’s 65+ Doubles, Men’s & Women’s 50+ 2.5-3.0 Doubles, 50+ Scrambles
  • July 12 (Friday): Men’s & Women’s 50+ Singles, Paddle Demo Round Robin
  • July 13 (Saturday): Men’s & Women’s 50+ Doubles
  • July 14 (Sunday): Mixed 50+ Doubles

Registration Details: advance registration is $45 per player (plus a Pickleball Brackets service fee of $5/10 per event) until July 2nd, covering entry into two events. Additional events can be registered for at $20 each. Late registration after July 2nd increases to $55 (plus service fees). Partner swaps after June 30 will incur a $25 fee.

Format and Rules: This unofficial event follows USAPA 2024 rules, with bracket formats including Double Elimination or Round Robin depending on participation levels. Medal matches will be competitive, with formats adjusted based on time and participation.

Brackets will be either Double Elimination or Round Robin depending on the number of participating teams/players. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the Bracket Format or skill levels as needed.
Double Elimination bracket matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2 in the Winners’ Bracket and 1 game to 11 win by 2 in the Consolation Bracket. Teams/players in the Consolation Bracket will have a chance to advance back into the medal rounds. Gold Medal and Bronze Medal matches will be 1 game to 15 win by 2. If time allows gold medal matches will be changed to best of 2 out of 3 to 11 win by 2. The Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the Match Format and skill level as needed.
Round Robin bracket matches will be either 1 games to 11 win by 2 or 1 game to 15 win by 1. Medals in the Round Robin brackets will be determined based on play results. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust the Match Format as needed.
Medals will be awarded to the top 3 teams/players in each bracket.

 

Refund Policy: Full refunds (excluding the nonrefundable Pickleball Brackets service fee) are available until June 30, 2024. No refunds will be given after this date. Partner swaps after June 30 face an additional $25 fee.
