The Picklr Debuts in Austin with Double Fun

The Picklr Debuts in Austin: As pickleball continues to gain momentum as the definitive sport of the 2020s, Austin is set to embrace the trend with a significant addition to its local sports scene. The Picklr, a rapidly expanding indoor pickleball franchise headquartered in Utah, is making its mark with the grand opening of its first two locations in the Austin area.
This strategic move comes as part of The Picklr’s ambitious plan to establish five locations across Austin and Round Rock over the next 18 months.

Two Prime Locations Unveiled

The Picklr is launching its initial venues simultaneously, a move that shows its commitment to rapid growth and community engagement. The first location is situated at Round Rock Crossing, Frontage Rd.

The second finds its home in a repurposed Walmart building in West Austin’s Four Points neighborhood. This dual launch not only marks the franchise’s entry into the Austin market but also shows its capacity to swiftly scale operations.

State-of-the-Art Facilities

The Picklr’s facilities are designed to offer an elevated pickleball experience, featuring outdoor-style surfacing despite being indoors. The courts will support a range of activities including league play, tournaments, and open play. Each location will also boast dedicated practice and warmup areas, a pro shop, and space for private events. The Austin facility is particularly expansive, covering 39,000 square feet and housing 11 courts, while the Round Rock venue offers 25,000 square feet and eight courts. The Austin location will also share part of its space with Wired Fitness & Rehab.

Membership and Play Opportunities

The Picklr operates on a straightforward membership model with no tiers, ensuring equal access for all players. Memberships offer unlimited booking opportunities, though only one reservation can be held at a time. Members can engage in weekly skill-based clinics or schedule one-on-one lessons to enhance their gameplay. This inclusive approach reflects The Picklr’s dedication to fostering a welcoming and competitive environment.

Local Ownership and Community Impact
