Xan Black from the Hyde Park Social Committee noted that with 67 people competing in 21 events, the atmosphere is starting to resemble the excitement of Paris. Black expressed enthusiasm about the higher-than-expected turnout, highlighting how the increased participation is allowing residents to engage with one another in new and meaningful ways.

“We have like 67 people competing in 21 events, so it’s beginning to feel a tiny bit like Paris, It’s just really exciting to see way more people than we thought come out for different events and getting to meet neighbors in different ways than they have before.” – (Xan Black)
