The Picklr Opening in Columbia: A major new addition to Columbia’s recreational scene is on the horizon with The Picklr’s plans to establish a sprawling 46,000-square-foot indoor pickleball facility. The fast-growing franchise, based in Utah and renowned for its extensive network across the nation, will set up shop at 10204-A Two Notch Road, the former site of a Dick’s Sporting Goods store that closed in 2023.

Facility Details

The new Picklr location will feature 12 indoor pickleball courts, including a mix of championship-size courts and smaller warm-up courts. The facility will be equipped with The Picklr’s pro-quality surfacing, high-grip Shark Lines, permanent C&D nets, sound reduction baffle matrix systems, and low-glare lighting. A pro shop and private event space will also be part of the offering. The opening date for this high-profile location has yet to be confirmed, but the company anticipates a winter debut.

Strategic Location

The new facility will be situated in a bustling commercial area with nearby businesses including Target, Chick-fil-A, Best Buy, and Kroger. State statistics indicate that about 32,000 cars travel daily along that stretch of Two Notch Road, positioning The Picklr in a high-traffic, accessible location.
