Kevin Guo, the facility’s owner and manager, shared details about the project via Facebook, highlighting the challenges faced by players in finding available courts in the heavily populated Greater Houston area.

The new pickleball facility is set to feature a total of 11 new pickleball courts, offering a mix of surfaces to cater to different playing preferences. Of these, six will be cushioned courts designed to reduce impact and enhance comfort, while five will be traditional hard surfaces. In addition to the courts, Pickleball Katy will include amenities such as a bar serving beer, soft drinks, and snacks, as well as a gym for general fitness.
Guo noted that the indoor pickleball facility is being developed to meet the unprecedented growth in the pickleball community, which has made it increasingly difficult for local players to find convenient playtimes. As the sport continues to gain popularity, Pickleball Katy aims to provide a dedicated space for enthusiasts to enjoy their games year-round.
Pre-sales for memberships will commence on Black Friday, offering a limited number of discounted options before the facility officially opens its doors in March 2025. Located at 24825 Roesner Road, Katy, the new facility promises to become a central hub for pickleball players in the region.
