Tournament Format and Player Guidelines

This non-sanctioned tournament will follow a round-robin format, with participants guaranteed at least four games per event. Both men and women can compete in singles brackets, with available skill levels ranging from 2.5 to 4.0 and above.

Players will be placed into brackets based on their Pickleball Bracket Ratings (PBR), with the option to play in a higher bracket but not lower. As the tournament approaches, start times will be posted 4-5 days in advance.

2024 Myrtle Beach Seaside Classic Pickleball Tournament Schedule and Logistics

The tournament schedule is as follows:

  • Friday, September 6: Mixed Doubles
  • Saturday, September 7: Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles
  • Sunday, September 8: Women’s Doubles and Men’s Singles

Due to the limited availability of six courts, each event has a maximum number of participants. Age splits will be added to brackets as registrations fill up. Additionally, players and volunteers will have access to a hospitality room offering food and water throughout the tournament, and raffles with exciting prizes will be available.

Proceeds and Future Developments

Proceeds from the Myrtle Beach Seaside Classic will contribute to the amenities of the upcoming North Myrtle Beach Pickleball Complex, which is expected to open in 2025 with 15 state-of-the-art outdoor courts. This new complex will significantly enhance the pickleball scene along the Grand Strand, providing a premier venue for future events and recreational play.

Refund Policy

Participants can receive a full refund of the tournament fee (minus finance charges) if they withdraw before August 25. Withdrawals made on or after August 25 will incur a $20 deduction. The event service fee, charged by Pickleball Brackets, is non-refundable.

No refunds will be provided for events canceled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. Refunds will be processed after registration closes, and credited to the original form of payment where possible.
