Pickleball Tournament for Local Kids: South Iredell High School senior Jacqueline Maglente has been busy over the summer, channeling her energy into a project that fulfills her International Baccalaureate Program requirements under the Creativity, Activity, and Service diploma.
Maglente, leveraging her passion for working with children, has embarked on an ambitious plan to organize a community pickleball tournament to raise funds for the Bridge of Hearts non-profit organization.
Tournament Details and Logistics
Set to take place on Saturday, September 28, at 9 a.m., the tournament will be held at The Farms neighborhood’s tennis court facilities, located at 420 Agnew Road, Mooresville. This double-elimination event will see teams compete until only one remains.
Participants can look forward to trophies for the winners, a raffle basket, and provided snacks and water. Registration is open at www.pickleball-boh.cheddarup.com, with a $30 fee per team and 25 team spots available. Donations and sponsorships are also welcomed through the same link.
Local Business Support and Volunteer Involvement
The event has garnered support from several local businesses, including Solid Roofing of Mooresville, Serve Pickleball Plus Kitchen in Huntersville, Monsoon Restaurant, and the Retro Pickleball online supply store.
