Indoor Pickleball Facility in Tyler Aims 500 Members: Construction Begins

Construction has officially begun on a new indoor pickleball facility in Tyler, Texas, which will feature 12 state-of-the-art courts. The facility, located at 5908 Rhones Quarter Road, aims to become a hub for pickleball players from across Texas, Louisiana, and Arkansas. The project is slated to open in early 2025, with organizers excited about the potential it holds for the region.

Facility Details and Amenities

In addition to the 12 indoor pickleball courts, the facility will boast several top-tier amenities designed to enhance the experience for its members. These include an ice bath, sauna, and health room, offering players a complete wellness package alongside the sport. Leilani Noga, the director of operations for Tyler Indoor Pickleball, expressed high hopes for the facility’s regional impact.

“It’s going to be one of the best in Texas. We’re the only ones in East Texas, so it’s super inspiring. I really hope it becomes the mecca for not only Texas, but also Louisiana and Arkansas.” – (Noga)

A Regional Hub for Pickleball

Tyler Indoor Pickleball is positioning itself as a central destination for the rapidly growing sport. With the addition of the courts and amenities, Noga believes the facility will draw in players from neighboring states and elevate the sport’s profile across the region.

“We really are the central point for pickleball at this point with this facility,” Noga added. The organizers are particularly focused on attracting players from competitive and recreational backgrounds, ensuring the facility caters to all skill levels.

Aiming for 500 Members

The goal, according to Noga, is to sign up 500 members for the facility. With its prime location and comprehensive facilities, Tyler Indoor Pickleball is expected to attract a broad range of players, from newcomers to seasoned veterans.

The early buzz surrounding the project suggests it could quickly become a hotspot for pickleball in the region, offering a unique, indoor environment for year-round play.
