The Picklr Set to Open in Ashwaubenon: A new sports and entertainment venue is set to make its debut in Ashwaubenon, with the backing of a Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame inductee. The Picklr, a pickleball facility, will open its doors later this year at the Shoppes at the Village, 2610 Holmgren Way. This new addition promises to enhance the local sports scene, thanks in part to its high-profile investor.

Mark Tauscher’s Involvement

The franchise group behind The Picklr includes Mark Tauscher, a Wisconsin native and former offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers. Tauscher, who has been playing pickleball for about a decade, expressed his enthusiasm for the sport’s growth.

Facility Details and Features

The new facility will span 20,000 square feet and feature seven indoor courts. The Picklr aims to replicate the quality of outdoor courts with its high-quality surfacing.

Additionally, the venue will house a full pro shop and private event space. The facility plans to offer unlimited league play, tournaments, and open play, along with one-price memberships and programs suitable for all ages.

Expansion Plans and Market Demand

Amy Guerrero, marketing director of Murko Capital Corp, highlighted the recent surge in pickleball’s popularity and the growing demand for courts.

The company, headquartered in Kaysville, Utah, has ambitious plans to establish 350 new locations with approximately 3,500 courts in the coming years. In Wisconsin alone, The Picklr is aiming for at least eight locations, including Ashwaubenon, Milwaukee, and Madison.
