Town Meeting’s Original Plan
Earlier, the Town Meeting had voted to build a total of six pickleball courts. The approved plan includes constructing four courts at Whalley Park and two at the Town Hall property. Despite concerns over costs, the decision has now cleared the way for at least the Town Hall portion of the project to begin promptly.
Three Options Presented
Interim Building and Grounds Director Russ Anderson attended the meeting to provide detailed proposals. Anderson laid out three options for building the courts at Prifti Park, which is located next to the Town Hall. Currently, the space holds two volleyball courts, but the new plans indicate those may soon be replaced by pickleball courts as part of the town’s recreational upgrade.
