Youth Pickleball Tournament Hits North Platte: North Platte Pickleball is gearing up to host the “Dinkin and Dunkin” youth tournament on Sunday, September 22, at the Memorial Park pickleball courts. This event invites players aged 12-19 to compete in a round-robin format, showcasing their skills and enjoying a day of competitive play.

Registration and Schedule

Participants can register starting at 12:30 p.m., with games running from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The entry fee is set at $10, and prizes, along with medals, will be awarded to top performers. Divisions will be determined based on skill levels to ensure fair competition.

Promotion of Youth Engagement

Karin Lange, a spokeswoman for the organization, highlighted the importance of fostering growth in the youth sector of pickleball. This initiative aims to expand interest and participation among younger players.

Weather Contingency

In case of rain, the tournament will be moved indoors to the North Platte Recreation Center, ensuring that play continues regardless of weather conditions.
