Pickleball Courts Coming to Queenston Heights:  As the popularity of pickleball continues to surge across North America, Niagara Parks is taking significant steps to cater to this growing interest. Nestled high above the village of Queenston, the historic Queenston Heights Park will soon feature four brand-new pickleball courts, marking an investment in the region’s recreational landscape.

A Timeline for Transformation

Construction is set to begin on September 24, 2024, with an anticipated opening date for the courts in June 2025. This initiative not only aims to replace outdated facilities but also reflects the broader trend of communities embracing pickleball as a sport for all ages. The new courts will provide a dedicated space for players, building community engagement and promoting an active lifestyle.

Enhancing the Recreational Experience

Niagara Parks’ commitment to enhancing recreational opportunities doesn’t stop with the pickleball courts. In addition to this project, the agency will also undertake resurfacing work along 850 meters of the Niagara River Recreation Trail, enhancing the overall experience for walkers, runners, and cyclists.

This work, scheduled to start on October 15 and finish by October 25, 2024, showcases Niagara Parks’ dedication to improving infrastructure that supports a vibrant outdoor lifestyle.
