The Flying Pickle Open 2024: The inaugural Flying Pickle Open is ready to make a splash in the pickleball world as it kicks off October 17–20, 2024, at the state-of-the-art Flying Pickle facility in Meridian, Idaho. This much-anticipated tournament, featuring 18 indoor courts, promises competitive play for both amateur and professional athletes, with a total prize pool of $17,000 at stake.

The Flying Pickle, located just 15 minutes from Boise Airport, is well-equipped for this four-day event. The facility boasts permanent nets, spectator seating, and amenities such as an on-site restaurant and pro shop, all within a climate-controlled environment that ensures play is unaffected by the weather.

The tournament format will begin with pool play, where each participant is guaranteed a minimum of four games. The top teams from each pool will then advance to a playoff round, culminating in medal matches. Competitors in open-level events—including Women’s, Men’s, and Mixed Doubles, along with Singles—will vie for their share of the prize money.

Prize payouts will be awarded to the top three finishers in each open division, ensuring that competitors in the highest skill levels have plenty of incentive to bring their best game. The payout structure and the competition itself should attract a strong field of players looking to make a mark on the pickleball circuit.

In addition to the intense competition, all participants will receive a Flying Pickle Open sweatshirt and swag bag, adding a personal touch to what is expected to be a memorable event. Players must register by October 10th and are required to have an active DUPR account to compete. Early registration discounts are available through September 7th, with a price increase of $10 afterward.
