Catherine Parenteau’s Undisclosed Memories About Her Life: Exclusive Insights

Catherine Parenteau’s Undisclosed Memories About Her Life: For Catherine Parenteau, a professional pickleball player who has made Florida her home, the essence of Canada still lingers in her heart. Originally from Quebec, Parenteau holds a special place in her soul for a dish that many might overlook—poutine. “One thing that I miss the most is being away from poutine. Poutine, it’s a dish from Quebec. It’s basically French fries, cheese curds and barbecue sauce or like gravy sauce. It’s so good, but you cannot try it outside of Quebec because in Quebec, they make the best one,” she reflects, her eyes lighting up at the thought of this beloved comfort food.

Seasons of Change

Life in Florida undoubtedly has its perks—the sun, the warmth, and the vibrant atmosphere—but for Parenteau, it comes at a price.

“I miss having four seasons living in Florida. It’s always so nice. I love it, but I do miss the snow at times.” – (Parenteau)

This longing for change and variety is noticeable, revealing a deeper connection to her Canadian roots. The crisp air, the sight of snow blanketing the ground, and the joyous chaos of the changing seasons offer a nostalgic contrast to Florida’s eternal summer.

Family Ties

Despite the allure of sunshine and sandy beaches, Parenteau finds solace in her occasional trips back to Canada. “So it’s always good to go back to Canada, maybe for one or two weeks to just visit the family,” she shares, emphasizing the importance of family ties. Each return is a reminder of where she comes from, a brief respite that recharges her spirit before she returns to the warmth of Florida.

Yet, after a couple of weeks immersed in the snowy embrace of her homeland, she is ready to switch gears. “And then after a couple of weeks in the snow, I’m ready to head back to Florida and be in the warm weather.” It’s a delicate balance, this dance between two worlds—one filled with family memories and comforting foods, the other offering opportunity and sunshine.
