Youngsters Invited to Discover Pickleball: The Burlington Pickleball Association is set to host an open house aimed at introducing young enthusiasts to the game, currently recognized as the fastest-growing participation sport in North America.

Scheduled for July 14th at the Haber Community Centre on 3040 Tim Dobbie Dr, Burlington, the event will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Organizers aim to highlight the accessibility and enjoyment of pickleball, emphasizing its appeal as a family-friendly activity.

According to a spokesperson for the association, the primary objective is to demonstrate how straightforward and enjoyable pickleball can be. “It’s a fantastic way for families to bond,” the spokesperson noted, highlighting the positive reception among younger players once they experience the sport.

Participants, aged 8 to 14, will receive instruction on the basics of pickleball and learn the game’s rules during the open house. Paddles will be available for use, although attendees are encouraged to bring their own. An accompanying adult is required for all participants.
