The 5th Annual Hook Line and Dinker Tournament will take place from June 20-22, 2025, at the Christina Lake Pickleball Courts in Christina Lake, British Columbia. This popular event offers players the chance to compete while enjoying the scenic surroundings of Canada’s warmest, tree-lined lake.
Tournament Details
Registration for the event opens on February 2, 2025, for non-members, with pre-registration available for Christina Lake Pickleball members starting on February 1, 2025.
The registration fee is CAD 40, with an additional CAD 20 per event. The tournament will feature round-robin play with medal rounds, and the format has changed this year to accommodate age brackets and skill levels.
Matches will follow a round-robin format, with games to 11 points (win by 2). Medal rounds for bronze will be played to 15 points (win by 2), while the silver and gold medal matches will be best 2 out of 3 games to 11 (win by 2). Players will compete in age brackets of 18-59 years and 60+ years, with skill levels ranging from 3.0 to 4.0+.
Registration and Requirements
To participate, players must be members of Pickleball Canada. Registration must be completed through Pickleball Brackets, and both team members must register and pay within five days to avoid being waitlisted.
Players must compete at their current rating or higher, and if they do not have a DUPR rating, they will be asked to self-rate.
Venue and Parking
The tournament will be held at the Christina Lake Pickleball Courts, located at 63 Park Rd, Christina Lake, BC. Free parking is available in a privately-owned lot, with volunteers assisting participants. The lot is located between Ode Rd and Benniger Rd on the North side of Westlake Dr.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds will be provided for withdrawals made before June 6, 2025, minus any service fees. No refunds will be given after June 6, 2025, or in the event of cancellation due to weather. Participants who feel unwell on the day of the event are asked to follow current health protocols and will be assisted in finding a replacement player.
