The 2025 Pickleball Alberta Provincial Championships will take place from July 10-13 at the South Country Co-Op Courts in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Tournament Format and Eligibility
The event is sanctioned by Pickleball Canada, requiring all players to be members of Pickleball Alberta and Pickleball Canada. CTPR ratings will be used, and players can compete up to one skill level above their current rating.
Bracket formats vary based on the number of teams. Smaller brackets may be combined, while larger brackets will follow a double-elimination format. Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each bracket.
Junior and Senior Divisions
Juniors will receive a CAD 50 discount on registration, and protective eyewear is mandatory. Mixed 65+ events will take place on Sunday, with participants allowed to compete in younger divisions on Saturday.
Special Events and Amenities
A Saturday night festival will include food, games, and live entertainment. Tickets cost CAD 10 online or CAD 15 at the event, with free admission for children under five. Parking is limited, and carpooling or public transportation is encouraged.
Weather and Refund Policy
As an outdoor tournament, matches will be played despite weather challenges. No rainout day is scheduled. Players who withdraw before June 1 will receive a refund minus a CAD 15 fee. No refunds will be issued after this date.
The event aims to crown Alberta’s best pickleball players while fostering community engagement and competitive play at all levels.
