The True North Pickleball Team Challenge will take place on April 12, 2025, at the Kingston Pickleball Club in Kingston, Ontario. Registration opens on March 3, 2025, and closes on April 1, 2025. The cost to participate is CAD 200.00.
This exciting team event will feature 8 teams, each with players of varying skill levels. Teams will consist of 2 x 4.5+, 2 x 4.0, 2 x 3.5, and 2 x 3.0 players, with the 4.5+ players acting as team captains.
The teams will be chosen by draft, and spots are available for players with verifiable self-ratings or official ratings. Interested players can enter above their current rating by contacting the tournament director.
Tournament Format and Schedule
The tournament will begin on Friday evening, April 11, with a social event where participants can meet their teams, play some games, and enjoy pizza. Saturday, April 12, will feature preliminary play, with teams split into pools of 4.
There will be 4 rounds of doubles play within the pool and a crossover round. Each team will also play 3 team matches, with each team member playing a set number of rallies against the opposing team.
Sunday, April 13, will feature the playoffs. Teams will be seeded based on their Saturday results, with the top 2 teams from Pools A and B competing for the A championship, and the bottom 2 teams from each pool playing for the B championship.
Playoff matches will consist of 3 rounds of doubles and 1 round of full team play, with the doubles scores determining the starting point for the team match.
What’s Included
Registration for the event includes 10 doubles matches and 5 team matches over the weekend, a team shirt, a player gift, pizza on Friday evening, lunch and snacks on Saturday and Sunday, and an entry for random prize drawings.
Refund Policy
Any cancellations before April 3, 2025, will incur a $10 administration fee. If the event shirt has already been ordered, the cancellation fee will be $35, but participants can keep the shirt. No refunds will be issued after April 3.

The pickleball tournament will be held at the Kingston Pickleball Club, located at 1150 Gardiners Road 1A, Kingston, Ontario. Free parking is available, but participants are asked not to park in spots designated for Reliance.
