Tournament Overview
The tournament will feature a variety of events over the three days. Junior Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles and Men’s and Women’s Singles will be held on May 2. The following day, May 3, will showcase Men’s and Women’s Doubles competitions, while Mixed Doubles will wrap up the event on Sunday, May 4.
This event will follow USAP international rules, with referees present for medal matches. Players will compete using their Canadian Tournament Play Rating (CTPR) or DUPR rating if a CTPR is unavailable.
Registration Details and Costs
Registration for the event opens on March 7, 2025, at 9:00 AM MST and closes on April 25, 2025. The entry fee for most players is CAD 60.00, which includes one event and a tournament package.
Additional event entries will cost CAD 30.00 each. Junior players in Boys’ and Girls’ Doubles will pay a reduced entry fee of CAD 20.00.
Players are required to register as a team for doubles events, or they can seek a partner using the ‘Players Needing A Partner’ list. The tournament will prioritize teams over individuals if waitlists occur.
Event Format and Rules
All events will be played in a round-robin format. The minimum total points per event will range from 60 to 90, depending on the number of teams in a pool.
Medal matches will follow different formats, with bronze matches played in one game to 15 points, while gold and silver medal matches will be best two out of three games to 11 points.
Divisions will be based on player ratings, with the option to play within one rating level above or below the registered rating. Medals will be awarded to the top three teams in each bracket.
Health and Safety
First aid services will be available on-site, and players are encouraged to wear protective eyewear and proper footwear. The venue will adhere to any health authority guidelines in effect at the time of the tournament. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult during the event.
Refund Policy and Additional Information
Refunds will be available for withdrawals made before April 25, 2025, subject to a CAD 15 administration fee. After that date, refunds will only be considered under extenuating circumstances.
Players who withdraw or need to make changes to their registration can do so within the guidelines set by the tournament committee. Photos and videos will be taken throughout the event for promotional purposes.
