Sooke Paddle Battle 2025 Set to Rock British Columbia’s Pickleball Scene

The Sooke Paddle Battle 2025 will take place on May 3-4, 2025, at the SEAPARC Recreation Centre in Sooke, British Columbia. The inaugural event, organized by the Sooke Pickleball Club, will feature men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles competitions on six temporary courts.

Tournament Format and Divisions

The tournament will use a round-robin format to ensure multiple matches for each team. Events include Men’s and Women’s Doubles on May 3 and Mixed Doubles and Mixed Doubles 55+ on May 4.

Players must be members of Pickleball Canada to participate. Registration requires both partners to sign up within two days to remain in the event. Players may play up in a higher-skill division but not below their DUPR rating.

Registration and Refund Policy

Registration opens on March 1, 2025, at 8:00 AM PST and closes on April 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM PST. The entry fee is CAD 60, with a $15 charge for additional events.

Refunds will be issued for withdrawals before April 18, minus a $15 administration fee. No refunds will be given after this date. In the event of a cancellation due to uncontrollable factors, fees will be refunded minus the administration fee.

Venue and Safety Guidelines

The tournament will be held at SEAPARC Recreation Centre, located at 2168 Phillips Road, Sooke, British Columbia. Courts will be set up on a smooth concrete floor with temporary taped lines.

Eye protection is recommended, and players must use USAPA-approved paddles. Check-in is 30 minutes before event start times, and matches may begin early if courts are available.

Additional Information

Players will receive match notifications via text and should enable this feature in their Pickleball Brackets account. A $5 USD per event service fee will be applied by Pickleball Tournaments and is non-refundable.
