Registration Details
Regular registration costs $75, while late registration is $90. An additional $15 fee applies to each event entered. The final deadline for registration is August 4, 2024, at 11:55 PM. Teams must ensure both partners are registered and paid within 7 days for doubles events; otherwise, the team will be placed on the waitlist. A registration is considered complete only when both members are fully registered and paid.
Skill Level and Age
Participants can compete in age categories ranging from juniors (18 and under) to 70+, with skill levels spanning 3.0 to Open. Players in Open events must have a minimum 4.5 CTPR rating. While players may compete up to a 0.5 rating level above their current CTPR, all players in 4.5+ or Open events must meet the 4.5 CTPR minimum.
Rules
Participants must register with a valid CTPR rating. Events include Men’s and Women’s Doubles, Singles, and Junior categories, with age divisions from 18 and under to 70+. Players may only compete in events up to a 0.5 rating level higher than their current CTPR, with the exception of 4.5+ or Open events, which require a minimum 4.5 CTPR rating. Doubles teams must have both players registered within 7 days, or they will be placed on the waitlist. All players must adhere to the 2024 Canadian Pickleball rules, and referees will be present for all matches.
Format
The tournament will feature a Round Robin pool-play format for all events. In cases where pool play is not possible due to insufficient teams, a single round-robin bracket will be used. The top two teams from each pool or the top four teams from a single round-robin bracket will advance. Pool-play matches and pre-medal matches will be one game to 15 points, win by 2. Gold medal matches will be best two-out-of-three games, each to 11 points, win by 2.
Prize
Registration fees are set at $60 for early birds, $75 for regular registration, and $90 for late registration, with an additional $15 per event entered. Refunds for cancellations are available until July 15, 2024, minus a $25 fee. No refunds will be provided after this date.
Additional Information
Players without partners or those whose partners have not registered and paid within seven days will be placed on the waitlist. Youth brackets are anticipated but juniors may compete in adult categories if necessary. In case of inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, every effort will be made to complete the matches, with decisions made on a case-by-case basis.
