Doubles Events at Stadium Park
Kicking off on August 19, the women’s doubles, sponsored by Dan Buxton Roofing LLC, will feature a thrilling array of talent. The mixed doubles events for ages 50-64, sponsored by Vega Construction, will follow on August 20, with the mixed doubles for ages 65+ concluding on August 21. Men’s doubles, proudly sponsored by Redwood Living, will wrap up the doubles events on August 22.
Singles Events at Boettler Park
Meanwhile, Boettler Park will be the battleground for singles events. August 19 will see men’s singles, sponsored by Assured Partners, with women’s singles taking the spotlight on August 22, courtesy of Milk and Honey Ice Cream Canton Ohio.
Competition Details
The tournament is open to players turning 50 by December 31, 2024, and caters to various skill levels from 3.0 and below to 4.5+. Check-in begins at 7 AM, with matches starting promptly at 8 AM. The format includes round-robin play and bracket play, with medal rounds contested as best 2 out of 3. The tournament directors may adjust the format based on registrations.
With an entry fee of $75 to compete in singles, mixed, and gender doubles, participants can look forward to a well-stocked hospitality area. Canopies and bag chairs are encouraged for added comfort. The top four qualifiers in each division will secure a spot in the 2025 National Senior Games in Des Moines, IA.
