Registration Information

Players need to find their partners before registration, as both players must register to participate.

Smash N Dash Pickleball Tournament Format and Rules

The tournament will use a round-robin format with games played to 15 points. Following this, there will be a single knockout stage with a consolation round, where matches are best of three games to 11 points, win by 2.

Key rules include:

  • Service Decision: Service will be determined by Rock, Paper, Scissors, with the winner choosing either the side or the serve.
  • Switching Ends: Teams will switch ends at 8 points during the round-robin phase and at 6 points in a third game of the best-of-three knockout if needed.
  • Time-Outs: Each team is permitted one 1-minute time-out per set. An injury time-out of up to 5 minutes can be used and may be combined with the 1-minute time-out if necessary. If a player cannot return after the injury time-out expires, the match will be forfeited.
  • Aggressive Play: Actions that intimidate opponents, such as excessively loud yelling or intentionally slamming the ball into a weaker opponent, will not be tolerated. Disciplinary actions include a warning, loss of a point or serve, and possible disqualification.
