The improvements will affect Remington Booster Park and a section of the riverfront trail, necessitating temporary closures of park amenities.
Remington Booster Park Upgrades
Starting Monday, crews will commence work on the tennis and pickleball courts at Remington Booster Park. The project involves installing a new surface layer and marking boundary lines to improve the playing conditions.
During this period, the tennis and pickleball courts, as well as the adjacent basketball courts, will be closed to the public. The work is scheduled to last for one week, with all facilities expected to reopen the following Monday.
Riverfront Trail Closure
In addition to the park upgrades, a section of the riverfront trail will undergo resurfacing starting Wednesday. The trail closure will span from Crawford Avenue to the C.M.H. Woods Pumping Station. A detour has been established to guide users around the construction area. The closure is anticipated to last until around 5 p.m. on Friday when the new asphalt will be completed and the trail reopened for public use.
