Limestone Classic Returns to Kingston, Pickleball Players Gear Up to Compete for Glory

Limestone Classic Returns to Kingston: The Limestone Classic is set to make its much-anticipated return from December 6 to December 8, 2024, at the Kingston Pickleball Club in Kingston, Ontario. This tournament, part of the True North Pickleball Tour, marks the first of three major qualifying events for the 2025 True North Pickleball Tour Championship. Participants will have the chance to qualify for the championship by competing against some of the best players in the region.

Exciting Format and Competition

This pickleball tournament will kick off on Friday, December 6, featuring split-age competitions for men’s and women’s doubles. Matches will be held in two divisions: 4.0+ and 3.5-, requiring one player to be 50 years or older and one player to be under 50.

The afternoon will show mixed doubles in the same format, ensuring a full day of competitive play. Saturday will focus on skill and age categories for men’s and women’s doubles, while Sunday will conclude with mixed doubles events.

Round Robin to Elimination Rounds

Players can expect a robust tournament format, starting with round-robin play that will feed into a single-elimination medal round. Open events will utilize a double-elimination format, adding competition.

Prize money will be awarded to medalists, elevating the stakes for participants. Matches will use the Franklin X40 ball, the official ball of the True North Pickleball Tour, ensuring consistency and quality in play.

Registration and Refund Policies

The registration fee for the Limestone Classic is set at CAD 60. A full refund, minus a $10 administrative fee, is available up until November 30, 2024. However, no refunds will be granted after this date for any reason, including injury or unforeseen circumstances.
