Pickleball Game in Barriere: The Barriere Pickleball Club took an important step in its growth on November 25, as it accepted a generous donation from the Barriere Outdoor Society. After years of operating under the Outdoor Society’s umbrella, the club is now charting its own course. “We are now affiliated with Pickleball Canada and Pickleball BC,” said club president Julie Biller. This new affiliation with two major organizations in the sport signals the club’s readiness to compete and grow beyond its local roots.
Ongoing Support and Growth for the Club
Biller expressed her deep gratitude toward the Barriere Outdoor Society, acknowledging their long-term support of the local pickleball community. The society’s donation of indoor nets, paddles, and balls, in addition to financial support, has provided a crucial foundation as the club begins this new chapter. With 29 signed members already on board, the club is eager to expand its roster and engage even more residents in the sport.
