Acton Vale Pickleball Tournament Begins: The PCA Pickleball Club d’Acton Vale, in partnership with the Fédération Québécoise de Pickleball, is thrilled to announce the 2nd edition of the Acton Vale Tournament, taking place from September 12 to September 15, 2024. This premier event promises to be a showcase of competitive spirit and athleticism, held on 10 meticulously prepared courts.
Tournament Details
Sanctioned by the Fédération Québécoise de Pickleball, the tournament will adhere to the latest International Federation of Pickleball (IFP) rules, featuring a unique category for players aged 70 and over. The tournament will be divided into several categories based on skill levels and age groups, including:

- Location: Complexe Sportif Desjardins, 1600, 3e Avenue, Acton Vale, QC
- Categories:
- Single “Skinny” (Men and Women)
- Single (Men and Women)
- Double (Men and Women)
- Mixed Double
- Ages:
- Junior (17 and under)
- 12 to 49 years
- 50 to 59 years
- 60 to 69 years
- 70 and over
- Levels:
- 2.5 to 4.5
The format will be round-robin, with each team playing a minimum of four games, each up to 15 points. The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played to 15 points with a 2-point difference and/or a maximum of 19 points. The medal round will feature the top four teams from each category, with finals conducted as best-of-three games to 11 points, with a maximum of 15 points.
Registration and Fees
Registration closes on Aug 25, 2024 6:00 PM. Participants must be members of the Quebec Pickleball Federation, which is linked with Pickleball Canada. Players can register in an age category that is either their own or younger and may choose a skill level equal to or higher than their category.
The registration fee is $56.00 for the first category and $20.00 for a second. To ensure a complete registration, both players must sign up, and payment must be processed. Incomplete registrations within 5 days will result in the team being placed on the waiting list.
