Pickleball enthusiasts mark the calendars for September 27-29, 2024, as the 2024 Kawartha Open takes center stage in Peterborough, Ontario. This tournament, a proud part of the Selkirk True North Pickleball Tour, also serves as the inaugural qualifying event for the highly anticipated 2025 Tour Championship. Tournament Format
The Kawartha Open will be run under IFP rules, with medal matches officiated whenever possible. The tournament will feature a skill/age division format with the following categories:
- Skill Levels: 3.0-, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5+
- Age Levels: 16+, 35+, 50+, 65+
Where necessary, skill levels will be combined before age categories. Expect a dynamic format featuring pool round robins followed by a medal round.
Special Friday Event: Kick off the weekend with a round-robin competition on Friday afternoon and evening. This fun yet competitive event will see you switch partners each round. It will be split into two categories: 3.5 and under, and 4.0 and above. Last year’s participants had a blast, and this year promises even more excitement!

This is an outdoor tournament, and play is subject to weather conditions. In case of poor weather, every effort will be made to complete the events. If an event cannot be completed, participants will receive a 50% refund.
