Adam Borics Bio
Adam Borics is a Hungarian mixed martial artist who competes in the Featherweight division of the Professional Fighters League. He previously competed for Bellator MMA, where he challenged for the Bellator Featherweight Championship. Known by the nickname “The Kid,” Borics has built his career around dynamic striking and a black belt in Kenpo, compiling a professional record across regional European promotions, Bellator, and the PFL.
Born and raised in Hungary, Borics began training as a teenager and turned professional in 2014. He currently trains with Kill Cliff FC and resides in Pompano Beach, Florida, with his wife.
Early Life and Background
Adam Borics was born on July 7, 1993, in Eger, Hungary. He was raised in the nearby village of Sirok, where he attended school and spent much of his free time working out and playing football. His early athletic interests laid the groundwork for a future in combat sports.
At the age of 16, Borics began training Muay Thai with a friend, and at 17 he took part in his very first MMA training session, an experience that inspired him to pursue the sport seriously. During secondary school he competed in numerous amateur Kenpo and MMA bouts to develop his skills. After finishing his studies, he moved to Eger to access better training opportunities and to teach MMA in order to support his own career.
He was admitted to the University of Physical Education in Hungary, but he chose to redirect his financial and physical resources toward sports. He stopped his university studies and worked as a masseuse while leading training sessions, building the discipline that would later define his professional career.
Path to MMA
Borics made his professional debut on August 1, 2014, at the fifth event of the Hungarian Fight Championship (HFC), where he submitted Daniel Hajzer via heel hook in just over a minute. He went on to defeat Jozsef Tarnai and Adam Nemeth later that year, and by November 2014 he had captured the HFC 65 kg title after Benjamin Molnar was disqualified for an illegal slam in the fourth round.
Through 2015, Borics remained unbeaten on the Hungarian circuit, defending his HFC belt twice and recording his first international victory at FFC 7 in Sarajevo. By the end of 2015 he had departed HFC with a 6-0 record, having established himself as one of Hungary’s top young featherweights.
His growing profile earned him a training-camp opportunity in the United States in early 2017, when he spent time with Hard Knocks 365 (later known as Sanford MMA). That exposure led to a Bellator MMA opportunity and marked the beginning of his transition from the European regional scene to major international competition.

Following the tournament, Borics reeled off consecutive decision wins over Mike Hamell, Erick Sanchez, and Jeremy Kennedy, and headlined Bellator 276 against Mads Burnell in a bout widely regarded as one of the most entertaining fights of 2022.
