Bhopal played host to an exhilarating sporting event as the TFL Pickleball Tournament Season One wrapped up with a grand finale at Top Serve, Chuna Bhatti, on Sunday night. The tournament, which featured 75 participants competing across six categories, marked a milestone for TFL as its first pickleball event and the 13th overall in its series of sports initiatives.
Grand Inauguration and Competitive Matches
The tournament was inaugurated by Bhagwan Das Sabnani, MLA of the South West Assembly, who praised the organizers and players for their dedication. He highlighted how bringing pickleball to the region would strengthen the local sports culture and encourage wider participation in emerging sports.
The event was led by Arjun Shukla, Co-Founder of TFL, who has been actively working to develop and promote sports in Bhopal. Players displayed impressive skills, competing fiercely across different divisions, making for an action-packed three days of play.
Future Plans for Pickleball in Central India
Encouraged by the success of Season One, TFL is now preparing to expand its pickleball tournaments across Central India. This initiative aims to provide more athletes with opportunities to compete at a high level and further establish pickleball as a prominent sport in the region.
