Unveiled on October 31, 2024, the Bengal State Ranking Pickleball Tournament PWR100 invites top players to compete for coveted Bengal State rankings, PWR 100 points, and a shot at qualifying for the upcoming National Tournament in December. Set in Kolkata, known as India’s “City of Joy,” the tournament promises a thrilling four-day event this November, as West Bengal gears up for its inaugural PWR-DUPR-rated competition.
Registration Details
Registrations for the tournament are underway, with events scheduled from November 21 to November 24 at the Ballygunge Arena in Kolkata. The registration fees are set at Rs 1000 for Singles and Rs 1500 for Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Competitors must complete their registration by November 15, with the deadline closing at 11:59 PM.
Scoring System
The tournament will feature both Round Robin and Knockout matches. Depending on the volume of registrations, matches will follow either an 11 or 15-point scoring format. The final match adopts a best-of-three-sets structure, with each set determined by 11 service points.
Player Rankings and Rewards
This pickleball tournament plays a pivotal role in shaping players’ state rankings, in addition to impacting their PWR and DUPR standings. Performance-based ranking points will be awarded, adding to both individual prestige and standings. Alongside trophies and medals, players will receive Merit and Participation certificates as part of this landmark PWR100 IPA tournament debut in West Bengal.
