Pune United Joins World Pickleball League: The World Pickleball League (WPBL) has announced the launch of Pune United, the city’s very own pickleball franchise. The team is backed by an impressive consortium of owners, including the well-known Bollywood couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh, corporate leaders Sudhir and Sunanda Mehta of EKA Mobility and Pinnacle Industries, as well as visionary educators Ajeenkya D Y Patil and Pooja Patil from Ajeenkya DY Patil University.
The Deshmukhs’ Vision for Pune United
Riteish Deshmukh, excited about the new venture, shared his thoughts.
