Goa is set to host its first-ever All Goa Major Ranking State Pickleball Championship from January 3 to 5, 2025, at the BPS Sports Club in Margao. Organized in collaboration with the Goa Pickleball Association and the All India Pickleball Association (AIPA), the event aims to bring together players from across the state for an exciting three-day competition.
This pickleball championship will feature multiple categories, including men’s and women’s open singles and doubles, men’s 35 and 50 singles and doubles, mixed doubles open, and mixed doubles 35.

Introducing Pickleball to Goa
To introduce the sport to newcomers, a free introductory workshop will be held at the BPS Sports Club on December 22, 2024, at 3:30 PM. The workshop, led by coach Willy, aims to teach the fundamentals of pickleball and provide hands-on experience to participants.
Pickleball is a unique sport that blends elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. Known for its simplicity and accessibility, it is played with a paddle and a perforated plastic ball, making it suitable for players of all ages and skill levels.
Organizing Team and Event Goals
The organizing committee, including Manguirish Kunde, Nihaal Borkar, Anup Sardesai, Ninad Kamat, Wilfred Jaques, and Lincoln Furtado, is working tirelessly to ensure the success of the championship.
