The project culminated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony held on Wednesday, August 28. Prior to this, the courts had a soft opening on Thursday, August 8, coinciding with National Pickleball Day.
Village Trustee Denise Davies played a crucial role in bringing the project to fruition. She emphasized that it was a true community effort, highlighting the contributions of the village’s department of public works. Superintendent Scott Mackey and employee Josh Hayes were instrumental in the courts’ development, ensuring the project stayed on track.
