The World Pickleball Tour will head to Alameda, California, for a major tournament from September 26 to 28, 2025. The event will take place at The Hub Alameda, a facility with 15 courts, providing an exciting setting for players and fans.
This tournament is part of the World Pickleball Tour’s growing series of amateur events. It is one of 35 scheduled for 2025 and offers a chance for players to compete at a high level. All medalists from previous events will be invited to the WPT Amateur Invitational Championships, where they will compete for a $175,000 prize pool.
Tournament Details
The tournament will feature several skill and age brackets, ranging from 3.0 to 5.0, with categories for players aged 19+, 30+, 40+, 50+, and 60+. Players 18 and under can compete in the 19+ category.
Registration opens on November 2, 2024, and ends on September 22, 2025, with a $80 entry fee (increasing to $100 after September 22). All participants will receive a WPT player swag bag, including a DRIFIT t-shirt and other essentials.
Event Format and Structure
The tournament will follow an unsanctioned, round robin format with bracket play. Each player is guaranteed six matches, with games played to 11 points, win by two. Players can enter multiple events on the same day, provided start times do not overlap.
Registration and Waitlist Information
Those registering for doubles events must ensure their teammate signs up within two days. If this does not happen, the first player will be placed on a waitlist. Brackets can accommodate up to 11 players or teams, and event times will be confirmed after registration closes.

The WPT has a refund policy in place for cancellations. Refunds will be issued as credits, less a $30 processing fee, and can be used for future tournaments.
