World Pickleball Tour Returns to Indianapolis for Major 2025 Tournament

World Pickleball Tour Returns to Indianapolis: The World Pickleball Tour (WPT) will return to Indianapolis for a major amateur tournament from August 1 to August 3, 2025, at the 24/7 Dink facility in Fishers, Indiana. Players from across the country will compete for spots in the prestigious WPT Amateur Invitational Championships.

Tournament Details

The event will take place at the 20-court 24/7 Dink facility, one of the largest pickleball venues in the area. Registration for the event opens on January 1, 2024, and ends on July 27, 2025. The registration fee is $70, with a price increase to $80 after July 21. The tournament will follow a Round Robin format with six guaranteed matches, leading into single-elimination brackets.

This tournament is part of the WPT’s nationwide series of amateur events, which helps players qualify for the WPT Amateur Invitational Championships. Medalists from the Indianapolis Invitational will receive a discount on their entry to the championship, where they will compete for a share of a $175,000 cash prize.

Age and Skill Divisions

The tournament features multiple divisions based on both age and skill level, ranging from 3.0 to 5.0 for skill, and from 19+ to 60+ for age groups. There is also a chance for younger players (18 and under) to compete in the 19+ category. Players can enter multiple events on the same day if the schedules allow.

Swag and Perks

Participants will receive a WPT player swag bag, which includes items such as a branded tote, hydration products, court accessories, and a DRIFIT t-shirt. Throughout the tournament, giveaways from event sponsors will be raffled off, with prizes including luxury bags and pickleball paddles.

Registration and Waitlists

For doubles events, teammates must register within two days of each other to secure a spot. If one player registers later, the team may be placed on a waitlist until both players are registered. Brackets will be capped at 9 players or teams, but may expand to 11 if space permits.

Event Schedule

The tournament will be held over three days:

  • Friday: Men’s Singles / Women’s Doubles
  • Saturday: Mixed Doubles
  • Sunday: Men’s Doubles / Women’s Singles

Refund Policy

In case of cancellation, a refund in the form of a credit will be issued, minus a $30 processing fee. This credit can be applied to future WPT events.
