CRBN’s TruFoam Genesis Paddles Are Taking Over – Here’s Why They Are a Game-Changer!

CRBN’s TruFoam Genesis paddles have arrived, and Pickleball Central is calling them a game-changer in pickleball. These innovative pickleball paddles, featuring the first-ever foam core design from CRBN, are being hailed as the future of the sport due to their balance, durability, and spin capabilities.

Joseph Sutton, an expert from Pickleball Central, tested the TruFoam Genesis paddles for three months, playing in a range of temperatures from 20 to 70 degrees in Seattle.

Sutton explained that foam core paddles had never before achieved the perfect balance of being competitive, durable, and controllable. According to Sutton, previous foam core paddles either lacked power or were too overpowered, but CRBN has changed that with the TruFoam Genesis.

Innovative Design for Competitive Play

The TruFoam Genesis paddles are available in three shapes and feature a high-density foam core, which prevents core crush, excess thickness, and the trampoline effect.

The surface is crafted from a blend of carbon fiber and fiberglass, giving the paddle a durable yet poppy feel, with a great sweet spot.

Sutton praised the power of the paddles, stating that the power is linear and predictable. Unlike some pickleball paddles that create excessive pop no matter how hard the player swings, the TruFoam responds well to energy input, offering precise control over softer shots. For serves and drives, Sutton noted that players could generate significant pace without feeling limited by the paddle’s performance.

Elite Spin and Dwell Time

One of the standout features of the TruFoam Genesis is its spin capabilities. The foam core gives the paddle a longer dwell time, meaning the ball stays on the paddle longer. This allows players to generate spin much like they would with the strings of a tennis racket.

However, Sutton advised that players switching to the TruFoam might need to adjust their technique, as the ball launches at a higher angle due to the longer dwell time.

“Your shots will actually launch at a higher angle, so you will need to close the face of the paddle more than you’re used to on topspin drops and dinks.” – (Sutton)

Who Should Use the TruFoam Genesis?

Sutton believes the TruFoam Genesis is ideal for players who focus on spin, value durability and have solid technique. However, beginners or those who hit more flat shots might find the paddle less suited to their needs. The TruFoam is designed for higher-level players who want a competitive edge and the ability to add more spin to their game.

Future of High-Level Paddles

With its innovative foam core and excellent control over power and spin, the TruFoam Genesis appears to be setting a new standard for high-performance paddles.

CRBN’s TruFoam Genesis is assured to change how top-level players approach their game, offering a competitive advantage with its unique design and playability.

News in Brief: CRBN’s TruFoam Genesis Paddles

CRBN’s TruFoam Genesis paddles, featuring the brand’s first foam core design, have been praised by Pickleball Central for their power, spin, and durability. Tested over three months, the paddles offer a predictable response and are best suited for skilled players who focus on spin and technique.
