Ohio’s First DUPR Certified Assessment Center: Pickle and Chill have been named the first official DUPR Certified Assessment Center in Ohio and the Midwest, marking a major step for competitive pickleball. In partnership with My DUPR Coach and DUPR, the Columbus-based facility will offer coach-assigned ratings to help players improve their skills and compete at appropriate levels.
A Major Development for Midwest Pickleball
Since its launch, Pickle and Chill has built a strong pickleball community with leagues, tournaments, and training programs. Now, as an official DUPR center, it is introducing coach-assigned ratings to ensure fair matchups and help players track progress. David Seckel, Director of Pickleball at Pickle & Chill said.

How Players Can Get Rated
Through DUPR Assessment Sessions, players can receive an initial rating from trained coaches. These ratings help them join skill-based leagues and tournaments. In addition to assessments, Pickle & Chill will host DUPR-rated round-robin events and leagues for continued competitive play.

DUPR is a global rating system designed to standardize pickleball rankings across age, gender, and location. By using DUPR Coach and My DUPR Coach, players receive expert evaluations that ensure fairer matches and more enjoyable games. Ryan Maher, VP of Commercial Operations at DUPR said
