The first-ever DUPR High School National Championship will take place from April 25-27, 2025, at Life Time Lakeville in Minnesota. The event will bring together top high school players from across the country to compete for national titles in team and individual competitions.
Top High School Teams Competing for Titles
This championship will feature Varsity and JV1 teams that have excelled in state competitions. Schools can enter teams in Co-ed, Men’s, and Women’s divisions, ensuring widespread participation.
Additionally, the event will include a singles competition, showcasing the nation’s top individual high school players. All high schools are eligible to sign up, and players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate.
Fast-Paced MLPlay Format Introduced
The Co-ed division will use the MLPlay format, a strategic and fast-paced style also seen in DUPR’s Minor League Pickleball and Collegiate Pickleball Pathway.
This format is designed to enhance excitement and competitive balance. For schools with all-girl or all-boy teams, a special 3-person gender format will be used to ensure fair and inclusive competition.
In the singles division, players will compete in a round-robin or pool play format, guaranteeing multiple matches before moving on to the knockout rounds. This structure allows athletes to gain valuable match experience and develop their skills against top opponents.
A Stepping Stone for Future Opportunities
The High School National Championship is more than just a tournament—it’s a pathway for young players looking to advance in the sport.
Whether aiming for collegiate competition, professional play, or simply testing their abilities on a national stage, participants will benefit from this high-level experience. The event also fosters a growing community of high school pickleball players, helping to promote the sport’s expansion nationwide.
