Maturing on and off the Court

“My frontal lobe is almost fully developed. I’m 24 years old.” – (Alshon)

“When the difference between, like, 20 or ’21 and ’24, like, you’re, you know, much much more mature, much more, like, you’ve you’ve experienced the real world a lot.” – (Alshon)

“Life is so much bigger than just the sport that I play or the job that I have.” – (Alshon)

“Thinking about that really kinda helps me, like, stay calm on the court and play my best and, you know, not put too much pressure on myself.” – (Alshon)

Alshon also praised his doubles partner, Andrei Daescu, for his skill and relentless effort.
“Andrei, I mean, he’s one of the best partners I’ve ever had, you know, just, like, as far as positivity and as far as, like, skill. And, man, the guy fights. He fights for every single ball.” – (Alshon)
Daescu’s ability to chase down difficult shots and maintain a competitive spirit stood out to Alshon.
“You’ll see him full extension, full full reach getting these balls. He never gives up. He’s always fighting.” – (Alshon)
