A Dedicated Courtside Presence
Rogers attends nearly every event where Khlif competes, cheering for him and offering encouragement.
“I love watching him do what he loves, and I love riding the highs and lows with him” (Jen Rogers).
Her investment in his success is evident as she closely follows each match.
Rogers admits she feels deeply connected to the game while watching Khlif play.
“I’m an empath, so when I’m watching him play, I feel every point. It’s very hard for me to not feel emotionally and get emotionally involved” (Jen Rogers).
Balancing Support and Competition
Beyond emotional support, Rogers plays an active role in Khlif’s training. She frequently drills with him but has no immediate plans to turn professional.
“I prefer just drilling with him. I get to move my body and spend time with him. I’ll probably play a couple of pro events in the future but that’s definitely not my main focus,” -(Jen Rogers)
Rogers also handles much of the behind-the-scenes work for Khlif, including coaching, travel logistics, and his online presence.
“It’s so hard. Just watching him, I’m so emotionally invested. I also have three kids, so it’s a lot,” -(Jen Rogers).
Embracing Her Role
Despite the challenges, Rogers enjoys being part of Khlif’s pickleball journey.
“Pickleball has just brought us so many cool opportunities. I’ve been playing for a year and a half, and just from then until now, seeing the sport grow and seeing how he adapts to the elements and changes from indoor and outdoor play, adapting with different partners, it’s just really cool to be a part of it. I’m really grateful,” -(Jen Rogers).
