Tennis Background in the Mix
Querrey, now a professional pickleball player, is playing his fourth tour event since switching sports in 2023. His partner, Sherry, also has a tennis background, while their first-round opponents, Hunter Johnson and Quang Duong, have strong tennis resumes. Johnson reached ATP world No. 198 in doubles, while Duong was a top ITF junior.
Other Notable Names Competing
Jack Sock, who made the men’s singles semifinals on Day 1, will also play doubles with Ivan Jakovljevic. He is competing in mixed doubles as well, teaming up with former WTA No. 38 Kaitlyn Christian. Meanwhile, Genie Bouchard is set to play in women’s and mixed doubles, looking to bounce back from her singles loss.
