Global Sports Unveils High-Stakes Pickleball League: Global Sports has announced the launch of the Pro & Challenger Pickleball League, set to take place in India from December 16 to 23. With a prize pool of $75,000 across both divisions, the event aims to support talent and raise the sport’s profile nationwide.
League to Feature Team Auction and Grand Slam
The competition will include two levels: Pro and Challenger. A player auction in July or August 2025 will shortlist 75 players in each category. From this pool, 50 Pro and 50 Challenger players will be drafted into five-member teams. In addition to the league, organizers plan to introduce a Grand Slam of Pickleball to build excitement and attract new fans.
Strong Leadership and Star Power
The league is led by Global Sports, a top management company founded by Hemal Jain and co-founded by Niraj Jain, Divyesh Jain, and Suresh Bhansali.
Filmmaker Shashank Khaitan has joined as a partner, while Yuvi Ruia will guide strategy. Karan Johar will serve as brand ambassador, linking pickleball with lifestyle and culture.
