Pickleball Phenomenon: Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf Ignite Asia’s Passion in JOOLA 2025 Tour

JOOLA 2025 Tour: JOOLA’s 2025 Pickleball Legends Tour brought world-famous athletes to Asia for a thrilling three-stop journey through Vietnam and China. From March 25 to 29, fans in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Shanghai gathered to witness top pickleball stars compete in high-energy matches, skills challenges, and fan events.

The tour featured tennis greats Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf alongside top pickleball names like Ben Johns, Anna Bright, Tyson McGuffin, and Brooke Buckner. JOOLA designed the tour to grow the sport in Asia and connect athletes with local communities. Each city hosted sold-out shows and unforgettable matchups.

Bringing Stars to Asia

The tour began in Ho Chi Minh on March 25–26 at the Rach Mieu Sports Complex. With 1,500 fans in attendance, JOOLA’s signature athletes opened with skills challenges and team events. Day 1’s highlights included Anna Bright versus Brooke Buckner and Ben Johns against Tyson McGuffin.

The mixed doubles matches were also a fan favorite. Andre Agassi and Brooke Buckner faced Collin Johns and Anna Bright, while Tyson McGuffin and Zoey Chao Yi Wang went up against Ben Johns and Rachel Rettger. Team Agassi took the win, and the event closed with a trophy ceremony.

JOOLA athletes also explored Ho Chi Minh’s local culture during a guided tour, adding a personal experience beyond the games.

High Energy in Hanoi

The excitement continued in Hanoi on March 27 at Gia Lam Stadium, where another crowd of 1,500 packed the venue. The event followed the same format, and this time Team Ben Johns won the trophy. The evening ended with a Gala Dinner at the Fortuna Hanoi Hotel.

“The thing I really underestimated was how quickly pickleball’s growth would happen,” said Connor Pardoe, CEO of the PPA.

Steffi Graf Joins in Shanghai

On March 29, the final stop took place at Shanghai Jingwu Gymnasium. Tennis icon Steffi Graf joined the action, pairing with Brooke Buckner for Team Graf. The crowd of 1,577, including Olympians and champions, saw Team Graf secure a win. Richard Lee, CEO and Owner of JOOLA, also joined in.

“JOOLA has been coming to China for a very long time for the sport of table tennis. Now we’re here to present a new sport to the world. It’s great that we can bring so many of the American stars here so they can see how pickleball is growing in Asia and it gives our athletes an opportunity to experience their culture.” – (Richard Lee)

Lee also played alongside Ben Johns, celebrating JOOLA’s commitment to spreading pickleball worldwide.

The JOOLA 2025 Legends Tour gave fans more than just exciting games. Fans met athletes, received autographs, and took part in live experiences. The packed stadiums and electric energy showed how quickly the sport is spreading in Asia.
