DUPR State Pro Leagues Integration: State Pro Leagues across the U.S. are now part of a new system that connects local talent directly to the 2025 Minor League Pickleball (MiLP) National Championship. DUPR announced the integration this week, giving elite amateurs and future pros a clear route to top-level play and national rankings.
The change allows winning players and top teams from sanctioned State Pro Leagues to qualify for DUPR 22, with the option for others to enter DUPR 20. DUPR will also offer head-to-head graphics, detailed stats, and full-season analytics. This effort aims to boost player development and competition across the country.
A New Competitive Framework
This update strengthens the connection between local leagues and national tournaments. All matches in sanctioned leagues will affect players’ DUPR ratings, which help determine skill levels across the sport. The move also supports consistent skill tracking and more organized competition.
Leagues that join the program will gain several benefits, including recognition as official proving grounds for future talent. “Being DUPR-sanctioned positions your league as a true proving ground for future pro talent,” the organization stated.
Support and Tools for Leagues
DUPR is providing multiple resources for leagues and their players. These include national exposure, marketing support, and tools for live streaming and digital stats. “We’ll help promote your players, matches, and key league moments,” DUPR noted. Leagues will also receive “enhanced tools for live broadcasts, head-to-head stats, and digital engagement.”
The integration also creates a direct link between State Pro Leagues and the MiLP National Championship. “Your league becomes part of the official development pathway to the MiLP National Championship,” the announcement read.
Inaugural Leagues Leading the Way
Several leagues are already onboard for 2025. These include:
All Florida Pro League (AFPL): Launching with eight teams, such as the Miami Blaze and Fort Myers Flamingos. Matches will be free to attend and held across the state.
Wichita Premier Pickleball League (WPPL): Features top local talent and a structure that supports skill development and national play.
Oklahoma Premier Pickleball League (OPPL): Returning for its second season with six teams. Games will be streamed online, and all results will affect DUPR ratings.
The Michigan Pickleball League: Features five teams—Detroit Vipers, Lansing Loons, Grand Rapids Rampage, Ann Arbor Arctics, and Flint Tropics.
DUPR confirmed that “these leagues are now officially integrated into the DUPR ecosystem, providing players with a pathway to higher-level events like MiLP Nationals, while generating accurate, reliable pickleball ratings through every match.”
Expanding the Pathway
The leagues now involved represent some of the country’s most active and passionate pickleball communities. DUPR plans to include more leagues soon. The goal is to keep building strong, local programs that prepare players for national-level play while improving skill assessment tools.
The new structure creates more chances for players to be seen, compete fairly, and move up in the sport. With clear goals and improved visibility, local leagues will play a bigger role in shaping the future of pickleball in the U.S.
