Pickleball Open 2025 in Dubai: Dubai is set to host the first-ever Pickleball Open 2025 from May 8 to 11 at Pickleturf Dubai, located in Port Rashid. The pickleball tournament is backed by the Dubai Sports Council and organized by Sport Spirit Fed Events with support from Global Sports. The tournament was officially announced during a press conference held on May 6 at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters. The gathering included key leaders from sports, entertainment, and government. The goal is to promote pickleball as part of Dubai’s mission to support growing sports.

Global Sports leads the movement
The event is led by India-based Global Sports, a company focused on expanding pickleball in South Asia and now the Gulf. The team includes Hemal Jain, Yuvraj Ruia, Shashank Khaitan, Niraj Jain, Suresh Bhansali, and Divyesh Jain. They are working to make pickleball a worldwide sport, including a future Olympic goal.
Famous Bollywood director Karan Johar has joined Global Sports as a partner. His role adds star power and helps the event reach a larger audience.
Pickleturf Dubai to host all matches
Pickleturf Dubai, located at Port Rashid, is the UAE’s first dedicated pickleball venue. It was developed by Anam Mirza and Kashif Ali. The facility is designed for top athletes and beginners and provides a world-class space at a scenic waterfront.
Over 275 players from more than 15 countries will take part in the tournament. Countries represented include the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Iran, Vietnam, and India. This shows how quickly pickleball is growing around the world.
