Rob Gronkowski Breaks Silence on Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson—Invites Both to Pickleball Amid UNC Turmoil

Rob Gronkowski’s Pickleball Event Drama: Rob Gronkowski has spoken up about the rumors around Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordan Hudson, saying they are not banned from attending “Pickleball with a Purpose” this Sunday. Gronkowski made the statement during a light-hearted response to media questions about drama at the University of North Carolina.

The 49-year age gap between Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson has received heavy attention. Some recent stories claimed Hudson was banned from team facilities at the University of North Carolina, where Belichick is now involved with the Tar Heels football program. Gronkowski was asked to respond, and he used the moment to promote his upcoming pickleball event.

“I can tell you this right now, Jordan and Coach Belichick are not banned from Pickleball with a Purpose this Sunday, I can tell you that. If she wants to, she can sign Bill up right now, and pickleball does not discriminate on age either, so everyone can play.” – (Gronkowski)

Distractions in Chapel Hill

Though Rob Gronkowski kept things upbeat, he admitted that the ongoing attention around his former coach’s relationship feels off. The former New England Patriots star reflected on how different the vibe is now compared to when they were on the same NFL team.

“In the back of your head, you’re just thinking to yourself, when you were on the Patriots, the whole goal was to eliminate all of the distractions that could possibly happen while you’re on the team. And don’t bring those distractions to the team and in the locker room. We’re just looking down at the program in North Carolina and it just feels like there’s just distractions 24/7 down there.” – (Gronkowski)

Despite the headlines and constant media focus, Gronkowski doesn’t think the criticism will push Bill Belichick out of football altogether.

Coaching Future in Question

Rob Gronkowski still believes that Bill Belichick loves the sport too much to quit now. However, he admitted this year could be Belichick’s one and only season with the North Carolina Tar Heels.

“Coach loves the game of football, he loves coaching the game of football, loves being around it. I can’t see him signing up, and just because there’s a speed bump in the way right now with what’s going on, I can’t see him quitting after that. I could see him possibly leaving after the first year, but I can see him putting in the first year in and seeing how it goes on the football field.” – (Gronkowski)

What Comes Next

Bill Belichick is known for staying focused and avoiding off-field drama, which is why many fans are surprised by the current situation. Rob Gronkowski’s comments show support for his former coach while also raising questions about the team’s future. As the 2025 college football season approaches, all eyes will be on how the Tar Heels perform under Belichick’s leadership.

News in Brief: Rob Gronkowski’s Pickleball Event Drama

Rob Gronkowski defended Bill Belichick and Jordan Hudson, saying they are welcome at his pickleball event. He called the media focus on the couple a “distraction” for the North Carolina Tar Heels but doesn’t believe Belichick will quit football yet. Gronkowski hinted it may still be his only season.
