Emerson Lehmann Faces NFL Legend Donald Driver in Thrilling Charity Pickleball Showdown

Emerson Lehmann, anchor and host at Action 2 News, faced off against former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver during the Donald Driver Foundation Pickleball Classic held in Allouez over the weekend. The pickleball tournament brought together about 200 players, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay.

The pickleball event was full of excitement, especially for Emerson Lehmann, who had a rare chance to compete against one of his childhood heroes on Saturday.

A Memorable Match with a Legend

Emerson Lehmann shared that his goal for the tournament was to win every match he played. But going head-to-head with Donald Driver was a special moment.

“I was admittedly starstruck playing against an idol whose autographed poster once adorned my wall, so in that match I just wanted to enjoy every moment.” – (Emerson Lehmann)

The event gave players and fans a chance to meet Donald Driver in person and enjoy friendly competition on the court.

Supporting a Good Cause

The Donald Driver Foundation Pickleball Classic wasn’t just about sports—it also raised money for a meaningful cause. All funds from the tournament will help the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Green Bay continue their work with local youth.

Donald Driver, who now owns Pickleball Kingdom in Menomonee Falls, is also looking ahead. He has plans to open a location in Green Bay next year.
