Professional pickleball player Connor Garnett has launched an online learning platform called TWOEY Pickleball Skool. This new platform is designed to help players improve their game with lessons based on real experiences from Garnett’s time on the PPA Tour. The project connects his love of teaching with his daily life as a pro athlete.
A Longtime Love for Coaching
Though known for his performance on the court, Garnett says his teaching journey started long ago. Even in high school, he was already coaching others.
“Most people know me for my on-court performance—tournaments, training, and playing on the PPA Tour. But what many don’t see is my passion for teaching, which has been part of my journey since long before I ever picked up a pickleball paddle.”-(Connor Garnett)
“In fact, back in high school, I was under 5 feet tall and was already coaching, including our school’s girls tennis team. I loved every part of it. There’s something special about seeing someone improve, seeing that lightbulb moment when a concept clicks. That feeling still drives and excites me every time. This is why I am launching an online learning platform, TWOEY Pickleball Skool.”-(Connor Garnett)
Learning From the Game’s Changes
Garnett believes that the best players are always learning. As a coach, he tries to bring the newest ideas straight from the pro level to the people he teaches.
“Teaching has always been more than a side hobby—it’s a way for me to stay connected to the roots of the sport. Whether it was tennis back then or pickleball now, I’ve always been fascinated with technique and strategy. The game is constantly evolving, and that’s what makes both playing and teaching so exciting. New paddles, new styles, new patterns—pickleball today looks different than it did even six months ago. As a pro, that means I’m constantly learning, adjusting, and reworking parts of my game. As a coach, it means I get to bring those cutting-edge insights directly to the players I work with and has been battle tested on the pro side.”-(Connor Garnett)
Keeping the Fire Alive
For Garnett, teaching is more than just helping players improve—it’s about staying part of a special community that he loves.
“This evolution is what keeps the sport fresh and demanding. Every tournament presents new challenges, and staying elite means embracing the role of a student just as much as a competitor. I’ve always believed that the best players are also the best learners, and that mindset has helped shape my approach both on and off the court. When I teach, I’m not just passing down old lessons, I’m sharing things I’m actively discovering, testing, and refining in real-time against the top players.”-(Connor Garnett)
“Pickleball for me has given me amazing community. Teaching is a way to stay connected to that amazing community and meet players and friends who love the game, love talking pickleball, and are fired up about improving.”-(Connor Garnett)
