VidCon 2025 Pickleball Influencer Event: Pickleball took center stage at VidCon 2025 in Anaheim, California, marking the first time the sport was featured at the popular influencer convention. The event ran over the weekend and included a special pickleball area where creators and fans could play or watch live matches.
The activation was set up by Viewws, a content tech company, which launched its Dink + Smash 2025 Pickleball initiative. Attendees had the option to play one-on-one games or relax and enjoy matches between online stars.

Big internet names like Jools Lebron, Lil Tay, Jenny Hoyos, QCP, and DangMattSmith joined the fun. Instead of just waving to fans, these influencers picked up paddles and took to the court. They brought their energy from the internet to the game.

Pickleball content creator Sydney Steinaker also joined in. A friend of The Dink, Sydney played alongside creators and helped manage the games. She was a last-minute addition to the lineup.
“I just wanted to make it fun and judgment-free,” Sydney Steinaker said. “A lot of the creators felt more comfortable learning from someone who’s solid, but still relatable. Now some of them want to keep playing, collaborate, even bring pickleball into their own content.”
According to Sydney Steinaker, the excitement continued after the event. Creator managers started reaching out to her, asking how their clients could get more involved in the sport.
A New Side of VidCon
The pickleball area was a hit. It added something new to a convention that usually focuses on meet-and-greets and panels. With a court set up on the main floor, pickleball found a new audience among young fans and influencers.
Two players drew a lot of attention. One was a TikTok star known for her smart, funny videos, with 2.3 million followers and a past appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The other was Lil Tay, who returned to the spotlight in 2023 and now brought her flair to the pickleball court.
A Growing Connection
The appearance of pickleball at VidCon showed that the sport is becoming more popular with younger people. It was also a sign that content creators might begin to include the sport in their videos.
The event proved that pickleball can be fun and accessible to all, especially when paired with the energy of the internet’s most popular figures.
